Back in 1994, Mary Stitson started Courses for Horses with the intention of providing horse care and training courses for the everyday rider - hence the name.

She never intended to have a riding school as well, let alone one as busy and varied as Courses for Horses is today.  Whilst CFH has always offered BHS horse care training, the original idea of providing ordinary horse owners and riders a place to learn about all aspects of caring for and training horses has become a little lost on the journey.

30 years on, we have decided to go back to our roots and are now proud to announce the launch of The Everyday Rider's Guide.

Each session provides a bite-sized introduction to a given subject and aims to give the everyday rider the skills, knowledge and tools to care for their horses in the best way.

More than that, we hope to nurture a community where like-minded people can come together to explore the joys (and challenges) of riding and caring for horses.  Future sessions will be on whatever subjects people would like and there is scope for any of the subjects covered to be offered as full courses as well.

We look forward to welcoming you to these informative and interactive sessions - along with a cup of tea and cake!
